2015 Museum Crawl

Written By: Dick - Sep• 01•15

Last Fall we participated in the Inaugural Rt. 98 Museum Crawl and many folks ended up visiting our Lighthouse as well as the four other Museums involved. This year we hope to be bigger and better. Jeff Donahue, Director of the Holland Land Office Museum in Batavia, is spearheading the organization and has recruited several additional Museums to participate. Thus far we are hoping to include the following; Alabama Historical Society Museum, Alexander Museum, Attica Museum, Bergen – Harford Livery Museum, Cobblestone Society Museum, Orleans Chapter of the DAR, Elba Historical Society Museum, Holland Land Office Museum, Medina Historical Society Museum, Medina Railroad Museum, Oakfield Museum, Oak Orchard Lighthouse Museum, and Stafford Historical Society Museum. This year’s event, Tri-County Museum Crawl Rt. 98 + sst*, will take place over 2 days, Saturday, October 3rd & Sunday, October 4th. The way it works is those wishing to participate will purchase a Crawl Passport at one of the participating museums and will have it stamped at each museum they visit. Passports containing 8 or more stamps will receive a certificate entitling them to a discount or other perk at local restaurants or other merchants. They will also be eligible for a basket drawing provided by the participating museums. Questions, contact Jeff Donahue (director@hollandlandoffice.com) or Dick Anderson (oolhdick@aol.com)
